Perseid Meteor Shower Above Borrego –Accepted to San Diego Poetry Annual 2013

Tired
Grateful for all night cool in the desert
For starworks above my cot
For illuminated, golden hills of sunrise

But tired
Nostalgia?
Sadness?

Overwhelmed, I’ll shut off my computer,
feed the body with organic veggies,
and perhaps the light pollution of my mind
will darken and reveal the stars again
